I’m seriously tired of being fat. I don’t just lose slow, I lose painfully slow. Before you ask, yes I’ve done the thyroid thing…in fact I’ve been on thyroid meds for almost 17 years! Yes, my levels are normal, and such.

I’ve been on Weight Watchers, Atkins, NutriSystem, and gone to Curves. I’ve tried diet pills, tried exercising, tried eating right. I’m am slow to lose like I said, and that can be frustrating. I’ve lost on average 20 to 30 pounds on each of those programs, except for Curves, and always put the weight back on. NutriSystem and Atkins were the easiest for me to stick to. Weight Watchers is sensible and smart, but I have trouble staying with it. I think for a period years ago, I took off about 25 pounds on it. Curves, I sweated a lot, but wasn’t losing. Others were, I wasn’t.
A few years ago, I ran. I ran for 45 minutes 3 to 4 times a week. Did I lose weight? Not a pound. I’ve been walking close to 3 miles a day 4x a week now for over 8 weeks now, and guess what haven’t lost a single pound. I’ve cut back on my calorie consumption, I’m cutting down portions, and my snacks are all 100 calories or less. I’m working at it….but I’m really tired of working to get nowhere, and to find myself heavier then when I started.

I’m simply an overweight, work at home woman who needs something to kick in and start working. What I decided to do, was start looking at the reviews of all the big ebooks on weight loss, to see if there was another way. There were three that came to my attention and I decided to start researching them and looking for reviews. I found a bunch of information, mostly the same for two of them, but the third one that caught my attention, I could find little information on. I decided I’m going to buy that ebook and review it here. I’ll go through chapter by chapter, and tell you what my thoughts are on them.

I’m not a disciplined athlete. I’m not a bodybuilder who works out constantly at the gym. I’m not a TYPE A person who can follow things to a “T”, though I’ve tried a few times. I’m an average 40 year old woman trying to lose weight. Here’s the kicker, I don’t need to lose that “last 5 pounds”, like those commercials say…on some programs. (Rolls eyes)….oh if I could lose that last stubborn five pounds. Nope, I need to lose a boat load of weight, and we’ll see what our ebook says. Based on the information, I should be able to follow along…even me.

Here are the three ebooks I came across. I found them through Clickbank, when I was doing some market research for another project I’m working on on skin care. The three hot sellers, and books I was searching out were:

I’ll be honest, there are a bunch of reviews for the first two. But what I read wasn’t doing it for me. Here’s the thing, Fat Loss for Idiots! I found the website fun and appealing, but based on a few reviews, the eating patterns changing and eating certain types of foods when and how, I’ve got to feed more than just myself, and it may not be for me. Who knows, I may go back to it eventually and see. It’s on my short list.

Burn the Fat, the reviews were all the same press sheet and they were all saying the same thing. That tells me what they want me to hear, but doesn’t tell me what they think about it. I did find one stellar review on a bodybuilding board, where he was going through chapter by chapter. Based on the review, it’s very intense, and I know I won’t stick to intense. I’m not ready for intense. Will Fat Loss Bible be intense? Maybe, maybe not, I can’t find much info on the actual book, but I did find tons of information about the author, and it was impressive. I like that he writes all aspects of health, like things for cholesterol and more. He’s answered questions on other people’s boards, and he’s thorough, and knowledgeable. I have to say, I respect what he’s doing, and out of all the books, it’s the one that stands out. That’s how I made my decision for now. I’ll put the $40 bucks out for the ebook, and I’ll let you know what I think as I go along.

Is it worth it? Heck, I’ve paid oodles of money for other programs like NutriSystem, weekly fees at WW, and monthly fees for Curves. My body likes low carb, so I’ve got nothing to complain about when it comes to Atkins. It’s a personal thing, but I have trouble staying on it, if I’m too strict.

Anyway, that’s what the deal is, and I’ll fill you in as I go.
